Can You Guess the Year of a Film from a Single Image?
Considering that this is our fifth month of existence, I wanted to put together something a bit more casual for you dear readers that have stuck around or joined us. Firstly, thank you for your dedication. Secondly, I figured I don’t see something this laid back on film review or editorial sites. This is a quiz I created for you to test your sense of cinema. Can you guess the year a film was released on a single image alone?
This is not intelligence based by any means. Many of the examples provided are meant to be tricky and confusing. This is a celebration of cinema, but it is also a means of introducing you to some films you may have never seen. This is an appreciation for cinema that has broken ground, and for modern takes on retro styles. I hope you have fun. Please let us know through our various social media outlets what score you achieved.
